No. The E Ride publishes 3,600Wh of nominal battery energy versus 1,800Wh for the EM5 Ultra, but real range also changes with speed, elevation, surface, tire pressure, rider mass, temperature and throttle use.
The manufacturer range claims are not a controlled head-to-head test: E Ride publishes speed conditions, while Valtinsu’s “up to” figure is not shown with an equivalent speed condition. Treat the larger pack as stronger evidence of energy reserve—not a promise of exactly twice the trail miles—and establish a conservative turnaround point on early rides.
Which bike is better for technical trails?
Neither wins every technical trail. The E Ride has the stronger rollover case on repeated roots, rocks and square edges; the EM5 Ultra’s lower listed weight and compact package may be easier to place, load or recover in tighter situations.
